To you, to every sister in my life,
Thank you for enduring by my side even when I hid and ran away. I didn’t value what it meant to have and be sisters in Christ. I was filled with fear. A fear that stemmed from years of blaming you for my heartaches and victimizing myself.
Thank you for being gentle and patient even in my prideful stubborn state. Though I gave you innumerous reasons to give up on me, you remained in my life. You still said, “Hello, I’m here for you“. Though I left little room to show vulnerability, you steadily reminded me of His grace.
Thank you for inspiring me. Your stories have moved my heart in various forms. Your passions to pursue Christ in the heart of the battlefield are testimonies of His steadfast love. You have directly and indirectly taught me precious lessons about being a woman of God and seeking strength from Him.
Thank you for caring enough to tell me no- no to my selfish desires and no to being less than who I was created to be. You could have turned a blind eye, but you believed there was nothing sweeter and greater than the truth. A life after salvation is a freedom and security that only Christ can offer.
Thank you for walking with me on this journey with Christ. I’ve come to value sisterhood as one of the greatest blessings in life. Life is so much more vibrant and joyful with godly companionships. In times of most uncertainty, pain or discomfort, I am blessed to receive your prayers and uplifting encouragement.
Most importantly, I am so thankful to be redirected to Christ. To be constantly reminded of His grace is a huge blessing that I will always be thankful for. Thank you for being a sister, a friend, and above all, a light that shines for Christ. My hope is that you and I will continue to stay aflame even when the world tries to blow us out. Keep fighting the good fight (1 Tim 6:12). War may tear viciously at us, but hope prevails. We may have lost in the eyes of the world, but we are forever established in the kingdom of God. This truth, this unfaltering truth, will never be taken from us.
“For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4
With love, Esther
